From 2025 to 2029, China will provide 3,000 training and study opportunities to Pakistani nationals under the newly signed China-Pakistan Action Plan. This initiative, agreed during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Beijing, highlights human capital development as a priority in bilateral cooperation. The plan emphasizes science, technology, and research, aiming to enhance joint programs in both applied and basic sciences. Under the Belt and Road Initiative, new laboratories will be established to focus on disaster prevention, early warning systems, small hydropower projects, climate change adaptation, and air pollution control, reinforcing long-term collaboration between the two nations.
