Advancing Skills Development: Pakistan and China Enhance TVET Cooperation


Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called for stronger collaboration between Pakistan and China in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), highlighting its importance for sustainable economic development.

During his visit to the Luban Technical and Vocational Education and Training Exhibition Hall in Tianjin, China, Ishaq Dar emphasized that enhanced cooperation will not only improve Pakistan’s human capital but also strengthen the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

He was briefed on the operations of Luban Workshops and their current cooperation with Pakistan, while also engaging in discussions with Chinese hosts on expanding technical and vocational education in new and emerging industries under the Luban Framework.

The Deputy Prime Minister also met with Pakistani students benefiting from the Luban Initiative, encouraging them to utilize advanced technical skills to meet evolving industry demands. Luban Workshops, established by Tianjin municipal authorities, have become a global model for delivering high-quality vocational education and sharing knowledge internationally.
