TANG and She Means Work Partner for Women’s Digital Empowerment

In a significant move to expand employment opportunities for women in Pakistan, International Group TANG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with She Means Work (SMW), a Pakistan-based organization dedicated to empowering women through employment, skills development and entrepreneurship.

According to a statement issued by TANG, the partnership seeks to broaden access to quality digital education across Pakistan, particularly in rural and underserved areas. The collaboration places special emphasis on women’s empowerment by equipping them with in-demand digital skills aligned with evolving market needs.

Under the agreement, SMW will work closely with TANG to expand nationwide access to digital learning programs. The initiative is designed to improve employability, support career progression and foster entrepreneurial growth among women, enabling them to participate more actively in Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

The MoU was formally signed by Song Jianying, Head of TANG in Pakistan, and Lubna Bhayat, Founder of SMW. Both sides expressed commitment to creating sustainable pathways for women seeking meaningful employment and financial independence.

SMW has established itself as a key platform supporting women across the country by connecting them with verified job opportunities and structured skills training. The organization focuses particularly on mothers returning to the workforce, fresh graduates and persons with disabilities, helping them overcome systemic barriers to employment.

Through its comprehensive ecosystem, including a dedicated job portal, SMW links women with reliable and suitable employment opportunities across multiple sectors. In addition, its flagship Ventureher program provides women entrepreneurs with training, business development support and access to financing solutions, enabling them to scale their businesses and achieve long-term economic stability.

The partnership with TANG is expected to further enhance these initiatives by integrating digital education into SMW’s existing framework. By combining technical training with employment facilitation and entrepreneurial support, the collaboration aims to strengthen women’s economic participation and contribute to inclusive growth in Pakistan.
