Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong to discuss strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, with a strong focus on economic cooperation, trade, investment and the timely implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
The meeting brought together senior provincial leaders, parliamentary representatives and government advisers from various political parties, reflecting a unified commitment to enhancing bilateral relations. Discussions centered on expanding collaboration across key development sectors while exploring opportunities that support sustainable economic growth and regional connectivity.
Governor Kundi described the Pakistan-China friendship as a relationship founded on mutual trust, shared interests and enduring cooperation. He noted that Chinese-supported development initiatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and other regions continue to contribute significantly to Pakistan's infrastructure and economic progress. Stressing the importance of CPEC, he called for the timely completion of ongoing projects to ensure both nations fully benefit from the corridor's long-term economic and strategic potential.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong reaffirmed China's commitment to broadening cooperation with Pakistan across multiple sectors.
