CPEC’s Sahiwal Power Plant Drives Growth and Energy Stability in Pakistan

Technologically, the plant incorporates advanced supercritical coal technology from China, which enhances efficiency while reducing coal consumption. Environmental safeguards have also been integrated into its design, including Electrostatic Precipitators and Flue Gas Desulfurization systems that help maintain emissions within internationally accepted limits.
Energy experts highlight the Sahiwal plant as a successful example of Pakistan-China cooperation delivering multi-dimensional benefits.
