Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has departed for Beijing to participate in the 14th Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), scheduled for Friday.
In his departure statement, the Minister emphasized the crucial role of the JCC in shaping the next chapter of Pakistan-China economic cooperation. He noted that China has consistently supported Pakistan through challenging times and remains a trusted partner in its development journey.
The 14th JCC meeting is expected to operationalize the vision for CPEC Phase II, with a strong focus on industrial collaboration, technological advancement, and sustainable growth. Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that Pakistan has now embarked on a renewed path of economic progress and national prosperity, as reflected by positive indicators witnessed in recent months.
