Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has reaffirmed China's commitment to strengthening its long-standing strategic partnership with Pakistan by advancing joint development initiatives, deepening policy coordination, and accelerating the implementation of CPEC 2.0.

Speaking at a reception marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the ambassador said China is ready to work closely with Pakistan to implement the important understandings reached between President Xi Jinping, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. He noted that both countries aim to align China's 15th Five-Year Plan with Pakistan's Uraan Pakistan initiative to unlock new opportunities for economic growth and sustainable development.

Jiang Zaidong stated that China is committed to implementing the action plan for building an even closer China-Pakistan Community with a Shared Future in the new era. He added that both sides will make effective use of the outcomes of the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum while accelerating efforts to develop an upgraded version of CPEC 2.0. He also emphasized the importance of jointly advancing the Global Development Initiative to promote inclusive and mutually beneficial progress.

Extending his best wishes to both nations, the ambassador expressed hope for continued peace, prosperity, and stability. He said the friendship between China and Pakistan has remained resilient over the decades and expressed confidence that it would continue to grow stronger for future generations.

Describing the two countries as "iron-clad brothers," Jiang said that friendship with China enjoys broad support across Pakistan's political landscape. He highlighted China's willingness to strengthen dialogue with Pakistani political parties, expand cooperation on governance and development, and further enrich the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership for the benefit of both nations.

The ambassador also acknowledged Pakistan's recent economic achievements, noting that the country's economy recorded 3.7 percent GDP growth during fiscal year 2026, reaching a record value of USD 452 billion. He observed that improvements in macroeconomic stability reflect the country's ongoing reform efforts and positive economic momentum.

He further highlighted the strong performance of Pakistan's services and large-scale manufacturing sectors, which expanded by 4.09 percent and 6.1 percent respectively, demonstrating enhanced productivity and improved economic efficiency over recent years.

Jiang also commended Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace, particularly its successful facilitation of a Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States. He said the diplomatic effort made an important contribution toward reducing regional tensions and strengthening stability.

Concluding his remarks, the Chinese ambassador congratulated Pakistan on its achievements in both domestic development and international diplomacy, reaffirming China's commitment to supporting the country's continued progress and shared future.
