China to Boost High-Quality CPEC Growth: Ambassador Jiang

Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the strategic and long-term nature of China-Pakistan relations, reaffirming Pakistan’s position as a diplomatic priority. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, in a recent interaction with Pakistani media, highlighted the significance of the current and upcoming milestones: the 10th anniversary of Xi Jinping’s historic visit in 2015 and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2025.

Ambassador Jiang shared that China is ready to elevate CPEC projects to a new level, guided by President Xi’s vision and the recent CPC Central Conference on regional diplomacy. The future of bilateral ties, he stated, hinges on deepening strategic trust, enhancing development collaboration, and strengthening regional peace.

China will continue supporting Pakistan in preserving its sovereignty, maintaining stability, and advancing economic growth tailored to local needs. A key focus is aligning China’s Belt and Road Initiative with Pakistan’s 5Es development agenda to develop a stronger and more integrated version of CPEC.

On security, Jiang noted China’s commitment to implementing the Global Security Initiative (GSI) with Pakistan, aiming to enhance counterterrorism capacity and safeguard the region’s development trajectory. People-to-people exchanges will also be enriched through cultural initiatives that deepen the China-Pakistan bond, celebrating both nations’ civilizational heritage.

This multi-faceted cooperation, he said, reflects the shared vision for an even closer China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future in the new era.
