Pakistan has taken a groundbreaking step in its agri-dairy sector by initiating the export of camel milk powder to China. This marks a significant milestone, as it is the country's first venture into the global market with this specialized dairy product. The collaboration involves two notable Chinese firms-One HK Holding Ltd and Xi'an TUO ZHONG TUO Biotechnology Limited Company-underscoring a growing international interest in Pakistan's agricultural capabilities.
The official launch event took place in Lahore, where the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, served as the Chief Guest. The minister praised the achievement as a gateway to broader opportunities for Pakistan's dairy industry, highlighting the vast, yet underutilized, potential within the country's agricultural sector.
"This accomplishment reflects our growing capacity to meet international standards and encourages further exploration of emerging export markets," he said.
The camel milk powder initiative is already yielding positive economic results. It has created employment opportunities and is set to strengthen Pakistan's position in niche dairy exports. With continued innovation and international collaboration, Pakistan is paving the way for long-term growth in its agri-based economy.
