Zardari Highlights Political, Economic and Cultural Bonds with China

President Asif Ali Zardari has stressed the importance of expanding Pakistan-China cooperation across political, economic, and cultural domains. He shared these views during a meeting with Li Shulei, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, in Chengdu.

Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to deepening people-to-people exchanges and advancing public diplomacy as a key pillar of bilateral relations. He underlined that closer collaboration between the two nations would contribute not only to regional stability but also to mutual development.

Li Shulei appreciated President Zardari’s leadership in strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two countries, noting that both he and President Xi Jinping value these efforts highly. He further emphasised that while the world is undergoing rapid changes, the Pakistan-China friendship remains an unshakable bond. In his remarks, Li highlighted the importance of promoting knowledge, culture, and peace, stating that “the world needs and deserves the fragrance of books rather than the smell of gunpowder.”
