Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan and China are embarking on a new chapter of economic cooperation through CPEC 2.0, with the next phase of the landmark initiative set to drive sustainable development and shared prosperity. The renewed framework will prioritize industrialization, agriculture, information technology, mining, and human resource development, opening new avenues for economic collaboration between the two countries.
Reaffirming the strength of Pakistan-China relations, Dar described the all-weather strategic partnership as a central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy and long-term development vision. He emphasized that the enduring friendship between the two nations continues to foster economic progress, regional connectivity, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Dar extended his congratulations to the Chinese leadership and party members. He praised China's extraordinary transformation under the CPC, highlighting its remarkable economic achievements and its success in lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty.
Dar noted that China's development journey has not only improved the lives of its own citizens but has also contributed significantly to global economic progress through its commitment to shared prosperity and the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Reflecting on the longstanding Pakistan-China relationship, he said the partnership has been carefully strengthened over generations and continues to stand as a model of mutual trust, mutual respect, and shared interests. He added that both countries have consistently supported each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and core national interests, reinforcing the foundations of an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership that continues to evolve through initiatives such as CPEC 2.0.
